Oval air ducts have very similar characteristics and advantages as spiral round air ducts. They are made from stretched spiral pipes. The features of the flat oval duct make it a very good option for designers when space constraints do not allow the use of round and rectangular ducts. The rounded corners do not create the turbulence inherent in a rectangular duct. This allows for higher volume airflow and higher speed without generating noise and dynamic losses.
